KBank Private Banking Office

In a big move for the corporate banking sector, KBank asked dwp to design a very high-end, by invitation only, banking experience for their high net worth clients focused on customer service. A warm opulent welcome is created right from the lift lobby through to the concierge where statuesque French doors open into the comfortable and luxurious customer lounge. Although KBank’s branding colour is usually green, this is the only KBank product to allow a colour scheme of taupe, browns and creams which offer a lush, rich environment.

Named after locations relating to KBank history, separate, private meeting rooms are each designed with a specific, unique character. The designs were made to offer different experiences depending on the character of the customer. Although the design story for each room is expressed differently, each is a tale of about wealth with custom carpets, colours, patterns, textures and finishes. The office is located on a very high floor in a prime location so the layout was planned to maximise natural light throughout and allow the stunning views inside.

Beyond design, dwp pushed KBank – a traditional company – towards a modern office concept with a bar, a long countertop with power outlets for hot-desking and a café with a view. The result is an extremely functional and flexible office design.

Thonburi Bamrungmuang Hospital

An existing shopping mall was modified into a high-end specialty hospital offering cutting edge medical services in a new area of Bangkok.

dwp designed the unique conversion to contain specialty clinics with space for future expansion. Light and clean interiors welcome patients to the healthcare facilities with a luxurious double volume lobby. Sculptured lighting shines through perspex leaves above the reception. The refreshed building exterior creates a timeless elegance for the Thonburi Hospital Group in the company’s corporate blue.

The original floor plans and building systems were adapted to incorporate both current and future trends in healthcare technology. Existing features such as large atriums, escalators, lifts, onsite parking and accessibility were used to create a whole new high-tech medical concept.

Glowfish Office

The Glowfish Office concept of ‘Work, Play, Grow’ sets a new standard for modern coworking space. The third branch of Glowfish Offices are located on the busy 19th and 20th floor of the Sathorn Nakorn building. Glowfish serviced offices, ready-to-use meeting rooms (that can be rented hourly) and event spaces; serve high-performance local and international ‘millenial’ start-up companies, scaleup, SMEs and large organisations who need a temporary hub.

dwp’s innovative office design is conceptualised to increase productivity, support business growth as well as customers’ lifestyle choices by creating a relaxed, creative interior with natural light, practical facilities, and a sustainable space. The design concept is a homey, urban lifestyle atmosphere that provides privacy and warmth. Industrial, raw and natural materials were mainly used for this project: concrete, wood, metal and a vertical garden to soften the environment, mood and tone.

The active reception with barista bar and hot desk working area is a hub formed from concrete and surrounded by a natural, green environment. The design reflects the inclusive culture and partnership approach to working with clients. The reception opens up to the larger community space that provides a single location for staff to work, socialise and hold community events.

dwp Headoffice

When the time came to move; dwp embraced the opportunity to walk the talk of digital transformation and become a showcase fully agile workplace.

The open plan office is designed to be creative and interactive. Natural light is able to flow in from the treeline which also reduces energy consumption. Fully wireless the team are no longer tied to their desks by a PC and lan cable. Staff can work independently or in groups anywhere in the office.

The design theme was ‘approach’ and ‘experience’. Stepping into the lobby; a café and barista provides a warm, caffeinated welcome. A thick wooden counter with natural grain forms a functional and aesthetic workspace in the cafe area. Personal desk drawers were removed and clever storage used to maintain the integrity of the design and maximise space. The iconic style of the dwp office is formed by organic flow and rounded walls which are juxtaposed with rough concrete finishes.

Exposed pipes and original markings by builders on the beams become artwork referencing interior design and architecture. The office is a showcase of dwp’s elegant choices and clever combinations of materials and colour.

Mandarin Oriental

Creating a concept to enhance the guest experience at the iconic Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Bangkok was no mean feat, but one which dwp delivered with flair.

Our dramatic design for the 200sqm Author’s Wing maintains the majesty of a hotel beloved by Conrad, Coward and Greene, while adding a stylish new signature space befitting the next generation of literary legends.

A breezy balcony complements the hotel’s elegant and timeless colonial style, while a Victorian-style orangery provides a sanctuary from the bustle of the busy city.
