The Aspen Tree at The Forestias: Arrival of a new Seniors Living Community

Redefining Senior Living: The Aspen Tree at The Forestias

Nestled in the rapidly expanding district of Bangkaeo, Samut Prakarn, lies a pioneering development in senior living – The Aspen Tree at The Forestias. This project by dwp | design worldwide partnership as lead interior designers and health design experts is  set to open in 2024, is not just another residential space. It’s a groundbreaking concept that reimagines the experience of ageing, blending the serenity of nature with the finesse of modern yet classic elegant and timeless design to celebrate the later years of life.

A Harmonious Blend of Nature and Contemporary Design

Covering 13,150 square metres, The Aspen Tree at The Forestias stands as a testament to luxury redefined for seniors. It marries the tranquillity of the natural world with the elegance of modern design, creating spaces that are as purposeful as they are graceful. This isn’t just a nod to longevity but a vibrant celebration of it, establishing a new benchmark in which environmental and emotional connectivity are central to senior well-being.

Design Philosophy: Dignity, Independence, and Belonging

The Aspen Tree High Care Centre, a key element of the project, is an epitome of dwp’s vision – a fusion of practicality and elegance. The Centre symbolizes a commitment to providing top-tier care while maintaining the residents’ independence. It consists of eight households, each uniquely designed to reflect the individual rhythms of its occupants. This approach combines high-end residential trends with a deep understanding of senior lifestyles, crafting spaces that are safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing.

Integrating with Nature: A Reimagined Sanctuary

The project excels in its integration with nature. Features like the dementia-friendly garden and the rooftop terrace blur the lines between indoor and outdoor spaces, immersing residents in the healing touch of nature. The use of natural materials and a colour palette inspired by the natural world further enhances this connection, creating an atmosphere of calm and security.

Fostering a Sense of Community Through Design

Beyond its architectural merits, The Aspen Tree prioritises the creation of communal spaces. These areas are designed to be adaptable and dynamic, encouraging interactions among residents and fostering a strong sense of community within the development.

Innovation Meets Care

The Aspen Tree is distinguished by its innovative features:

  • Resplendent Facilities: Including the Geriatric Center, Day Rehab Gym, and the luxurious Residents’ Lounge.
  • A Wellness-Inspired Palette: The design draws inspiration from the vibrant colours of Thai flowers, offering visual comfort and stimulation.
  • Sustainability Focus: Aiming for WELL Standard compliance, the project is a beacon of sustainable, health-focused living.
  • Advanced Technology: Integration of smart home technology and health monitoring systems epitomises modern senior living.

A Community-Centric Lifestyle

The Aspen Tree goes beyond providing a living space; it curates a lifestyle. With services ranging from nutritionist-designed meals to comprehensive wellness and healthcare facilities, it creates a vibrant community spirit and fosters social interaction among residents.

A New Paradigm in Senior Living Design

As Yukoltorn Thanasawangkul of dwp remarks, The Aspen Tree represents a new standard in senior living. It’s a blend of innovative design and an understanding of the evolving needs of the ageing population.

Visionary Response to Ageing Demographics

Looking ahead, The Aspen Tree stands as a visionary model for senior living in Thailand, ready to evolve and meet the changing needs of its residents. It’s more than just a place to live; it’s a living space that embodies care, connection, and a lasting legacy.

In conclusion, The Aspen Tree at The Forestias is a pioneering step into the future of senior living, where elegance and empathy unite to redefine what it means to flourish in one’s later years.
