Global architecture and design firm dwp | design worldwide partnership has set a new standard for contemporary office design with its recently completed Informa Office in Bahrain. The innovative workspace, spanning 600 square metres, seamlessly blends tradition and modernity, showcasing dwp’s commitment to cultural sensitivity and environmental sustainability. Situated in the heart of Bahrain’s business district, the office is strategically placed to foster connectivity and collaboration among professionals.

Bahrain’s Rich Heritage
The Informa Office pays homage to Bahrain’s rich heritage by incorporating traditional motifs and symbols into a contemporary design framework. dwp’s approach reflects a growing trend in architecture and design, where firms seek to create spaces that resonate with users on a deeper level by acknowledging and celebrating cultural identity. “Our aim was to create a space that not only respects but also celebrates Bahraini culture, while simultaneously embracing modern design principles,” explains Adriana Graur, Design Director at dwp.

Infusing Natural Elements Throughout the Design
Central to dwp’s design philosophy is biophilic design, which emphasises the integration of natural elements into the built environment. The Informa Office features abundant natural light, lush vegetation, and organic materials like wood, stone, and clay, creating a serene and wellness-focused workspace that enhances cognitive function and reduces stress. “By incorporating biophilic elements, we’ve created an environment that promotes well-being and productivity, which is crucial in today’s fast-paced business world,” notes Charlie Kelly, Regional Managing Director at dwp.

Workplaces that Inspire
As the global workforce continues to evolve, the Informa Office serves as a compelling example of how thoughtful, culturally sensitive, and environmentally conscious design can create workspaces that not only meet functional needs but also inspire and uplift those who inhabit them. “This project is a testament to dwp’s commitment to creating spaces that celebrate cultural identity and environmental harmony while setting new benchmarks in office design,” states Kelly.

Culture Meets Nature at Informa

The Informa Office is not merely a place of business; it is a landscape of inspiration that reflects the evolving needs and aspirations of the modern workforce. “We believe that the Informa Office represents the future of workplace design – a space that is not only functional but also deeply meaningful and inspiring,” concludes Graur.
