The Dusit Thani Maldives Seaplane Lounge, designed by dwp, aspires to echo the distinct charisma of the Dusit Thani brand while conveying a “Home Away From Home” experience. Drawing from tranquil Thai culture, the lounge aims to weave a serene and luxurious setting, epitomising the pinnacle of Thai hospitality. The choice of decor, ranging from elegant Thai-inspired furniture to handcrafted textiles and ornamental pieces, encapsulates the richness of Thai heritage. Unique design elements, such as wall details and Thai artwork, contribute to immersing guests deeper into the cultural richness.

Central to the design is practicality, ensuring comfort while addressing growth opportunities. Optimisation of space, an efficient flow of traffic, and practical amenities like charging stations, Wi-Fi, and restful rooms all serve to enhance the guest experience.

Incorporating elements of sustainability, the design utilises energy-efficient strategies and prioritises indoor air quality. Large windows harness natural light to the fullest, while low VOC materials are utilised to minimise any adverse emissions.
