Private Residence, by Anne Carson Interiors. Fishers Island, New York

To renovate, decorate and furnish a summer residence on the exclusive Fishers Island, off the coast of Connecticut, in the Long Island Sound. Although the setting was a quiet seaside nature reserve the house, built in the 1980’s, was lacking architectural interest and in need of an upgrade.

Anne Carson Interiors added antique wide plank flooring in fumed grey (resembling driftwood), whitewashed wood planking to the ceilings and created white wood panelled room end-walls. The interior background is white with bright pops of colour. The furnishings are casual and comfortable for entertaining large groups of friends.

Jimbaran Masterplan

Like the age-old rice terraces of Bali the Jimbaran is built into the verdant face of the mountain. The layered design maximises eye-stretching views for guests and residents over tropical trees to the ocean.

A luxury spa and retail outlets are conveniently located under the terraces on the lower levels of the resort. Japanese, Chinese and Italian restaurants offer all day dining. There is a spa to relax in and pamper before cocktails on the rooftop bar and dancing in the club at night. A café and pool bar are perfect for recovery.

And for the perfect Balinese wedding, a chapel and ballroom are set amongst the emerald green landscape and water features bubble brightly

Gaysorn Cloud

Life, creativity and art hang in the air above the shoppers at Bangkok’s upmarket Gaysorn shopping complex.

In response to the clients request for an installation representing the luxury art and crafts of Gaysorn, dwp|Jordy Fu fused architecture, fashion and sculpture. Chinese paper-cutting techniques lasered into metal and LED lights along with natural illumination from skylights create a 3D cloud. The sculpture casts shadows that dance amongst the shoppers, luxury goods and designer labels. Sewing techniques and jewellery patterns are woven into the artwork, representing urban lifestyle.

Vinifera

With just a name from the client and the keywords: ‘luxury’, ‘wine’, and ‘contemporary’, dwp|elegance developed the entire Vinifera brand around a sleek wine restaurant in Bangkok.

The “V” shape of a wine glass became the core logo, naturally in burgundy red. A digitally produced graphic is an evocative representation of wine glass stains on a table. An interesting contemporary and sharply detailed design that was then developed into uniform, packaging, tableware and a wine bag.

Customers at Vinifera enjoy of a unique elegant restaurant with a relaxed environment and, of course, lots of delicious wine.
